2017 General Chapter
The Sisters of Providence from different countries of the world will gather at the Motherhouse in Montreal, July 9-30, 2017, to participate in the 30th General Chapter of the Congregation. In this context, our Constitutions remind us that: “The period of the general chapter is a time of reflection and of community conversion, a privileged moment of the Holy Spirit’s presence, an opportunity to search for the will of the Father in the signs of Providence. It is an event which we celebrate in an attitude of poverty, of prayer, of sisterly love.” Moreover, important decisions and orientations will be taken for the next five years, the General Superior and General Councillors will also be elected on this occasion.
