A prayer for Our World
As a series of natural disasters are hitting different regions of the planet, we invite you to pray with us for all those who are suffering, and especially for the members of the Providence Family living across countries and communities affected.
Trusting in God’s loving Providence, let us raise our voice together in prayer for them and for all those who are bringing them support and hope during these difficult times.
Provident God,
We come together as Providence Family to raise our prayer for all victims and communities affected by:
* The wildfires that continue to spread throughout Spokane County and across the northwest of the United States.
* The wildfires threatening communities in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada.
* The unseen flooding affecting the people of Chile, which have fatally claimed many lives and important material losses.
* The devastating wildfires and extreme temperatures across Europe.
May your aid and presence be with those who have been forced out their homes or are living in fear and uncertainty during this season of natural disasters.
May you console the displaced and those families that have lost their homes and their means of subsistence.
May you give strength to those who are protecting their loved ones and give your peace to those who are living in anxiety throughout this ongoing tragedy.
May you protect firefighters, rescue teams, paramedics and healthcare personnel, volunteers, and all those who continue to serve in dangerous conditions. May your courage, wisdom, strength, and protection be with them as they serve others.
We pray for all the affected communities, for the victims, their families, their homes, and their means of subsistence. May you grant them support, material resources, and hope during this difficult time.
As the wildfires and heavy rain damages unfold, we ask you to protect and be present among those living in every affected community. May those in danger be rescued in time, taken to shelters and given proper care. Guide the actions of local governments and community leaders to protect lives and provide needed assistance.
Lord, let us remember that we are never alone in difficult times. Inspire us to be generous neighbors and faithful bearers of hope for those who suffer.
Amen.
