The pandemic in Philippines: I see God at work in my life and in my family

It is my hope and fervent prayer that during these difficult times, may we find God in our daily lives and find solace in His love and Providence.

The scare of COVID-19 pandemic exempts no one. During these strange moments, I have witnessed different individuals struggling with how to cope amidst the health crises. Economic activities drastically slow down; the busiest cities turned into ghost towns; there is sudden unemployment; many have panic buying, and many have feared for their health and safety. In just a month or less, these pandemic has turned the tables on our lives.

Since the pandemic started, we are left with no choice but to remain at home. The situation is undoubtedly not satisfying, but circumstances have allowed us to make up for all the moments we’ve missed to be with our family.  We’ve became more appreciative of nature, our surroundings, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the environment in which we live, signs of the Providence of GOD which we sometimes ignore.

The COVID-19 pandemic may cause many more unfortunate circumstances, when things are uncertain, I have learned to hold on to HIM. I am blessed because I can see God at work in my life and in my family. I am forever grateful as a Providence Associate (PA) member to be an instrument bringing God’s blessings to other people, especially to those who are less fortunate, who sometimes think and feel that GOD does not exist.  Through the Providence Associates we are able to provide something for those who are in need, and by the combination of our help and our prayers, every afflicted family is touched by the amazing love of God.

It is my hope and fervent prayer that during these difficult times, may we find God in our daily lives and find solace in His love and Providence.
